Wayne Brady Suffers Injury During Performance of ‘Hamilton’

During Saturday’s performance of the Broadway hit,Hamilton, taking place at Chicago’s PrivateBank Theatre, Wayne Brady suffered a leg injury during the afternoon show.

Playing the role of Aaron Burr, the comedian joined production a week prior. Getting injured within the first act, Brady was leaping off a staircase. Upon his landing he experienced an injury to his calf. Feeling his leg seize up, he was taken off stage and replaced by his understudy who filled in for the rest of the performance. The injury wasn’t too serious, as Brady returned at night for the second performance of the day and returned the following day.

We’re hoping that his immediate return to the stage is a good indication of his injury not being serious.
