“Star Wars: Episode VIII” Has A Title

We’ve got a title for the ninth “Star Wars” film!

Announced Monday morning via social media, “Star Wars: Episode VIII” title is “The Last Jedi”.
Scheduled for release on December 15, 2017, “The Last Jedi” continues from the end of “The Force Awakens”.

“The Force Awakens” ended with Rey (Daisy Ridley) passing Luke Skywalker (the last Jedi in the galaxy?) a lightsaber.
Aside from “Rogue One”, last year’s stand-alone “Star Wars” film, “The Last Jedi” will be the eigth film of the franchise that is part of the central series. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson, while Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman are set to produce, while J.J. Admas will serve as executive producer.
